Delete Your Cépaige Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Cépaige account and the personal data associated with it. Cépaige is operated by Enterprise Telecom Solutions, Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation doing business as Cepaige.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way is directly in the app: open Settings → Delete account. Your account is deactivated and your identifiable data removed immediately, with no waiting period.
How to request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email support@cepaige.com from the email address registered to your Cépaige account, with the subject line “Delete my account.”
We verify that the request comes from the account owner and then permanently delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the identifiable data we hold about you, including:
- Your email address and optional display name
- The written content in your wine journal — tasting notes, tags, and any free-text you added to a rating
- Your Wishlist and Purchased list entries
- Wine-label photos you uploaded by scanning
- Push-notification device tokens registered for your account
- Analytics and error-reporting identifiers tied to your account
What we keep
- De-identified rating scores. The numeric scores you gave wines are kept in a form that cannot be tied back to you — your email and name are erased and the scores remain linked only to an anonymous identifier. They help improve recommendations for everyone and can no longer be attributed to your account.
- A record that a free trial was used. We keep a one-way, scrambled fingerprint of your email address that cannot be reversed to reveal the address itself. It exists only so that a free trial can be claimed once per person: if you sign up again with the same email address, you will be recognised as a returning member and will not receive a second trial.
- Legally required records. Information we are required to retain (for example, tax and accounting records) is kept only for the applicable legal retention period and then deleted.
For full detail on what we collect, how we use it, and our retention periods, see our Privacy Policy (§7.1 and §8).
